This post is the second part of my series on Garlando foosball tables, the first one was on this link you have achieved. It's worth starting with that to get a complete picture of all the Garlando brand models.
Garlando WM (World Champion, World Champion, F1)
The manufacturer's crown jewel, the company's racing table. It's what the American master player Terry Moore called "Garbagelando" at the 2007 Garlando World Championship, which might give you an idea of what some riders think of it, but I wouldn't take a position on that.
Basically models after 2006 are the better ones, which no longer has a fully tin plate backing, but a white plastic element to protect against the so-called "Garlando defect". What is a Garlando defect? Broadly speaking, it's balls kicked into the back wall, spinning around their axis, bounce into the goal, and the dummy on the goalposts cannot reach them normally. Also the rubber hood has been changed and the bars are supposed to be better, but life hasn't proved that so much. But that's all the same, because it's also official ITSF table - such as the Leonhart - i.e. they also organise world championships - Garlando World Series - and is a popular table in Italy - alongside Roberto Sport - and is currently the national table of Austria, although there is talk of it being replaced by Leonhart. Advantages of the Garlando WM foosball table
The undeniable fact is that the Garlando WM is by far the most popular in this country, so if you want to play on a tournament table, this is probably the easiest place to stand. Say There is exactly none in Budapest in a public place - I'd look towards Fehérvár - that's something to talk about. Here, too, the fact that lack of maintenance really destroys the table, so if you're demanding, you'll take the rods out and clean the bearings at certain times. As these also need to be greased, it's worth Würth fat into the bearings to keep them good for as long as possible. Apart from that, the bearings are relatively trouble-free.

So are the puppets, virtually no broken dummies on WM, because if they were, the whole line would have to be replaced, as they cannot be removed. On extremely rare occasions, you can break one by over tightening or other roughness, but maybe once in my life if I have seen one. The legs on WM tables are very good, made of metal, held on both sides with 4 screws. The centre of gravity has been lowered, thus greatly improving the stability of the table. The new sand-blasted surface can grip quite well, especially if you play with the right ball - we'll come back to this in the handicaps section -, then you have pretty good control. The newer tables are already have a goalpost, which prevent balls from bouncing in from the side, and relatively few goals are scored over the posts in matches.
It is also important to note that Except for the wall shots, which cannot be fired because of the side ramp, all other types of shots can be fired.
Disadvantages of the foosball table
Unfortunately, this is a rather long list, because the WM is not the table that the competitors particularly want. On the other hand, there are plenty of amateurs playing it, so its popularity is undeniable. The main problem with the table is that it is inaccurately made, practically no two WMs are the same, and they can become quite choppy and choppy over time. This table is also prone to rod curvature, which means an instant line change. Also a problem is that the side ramps, the tin goalposts, which also cut the ball, are cracked. The problem for home use is that the game is terribly loud on it, since there are a lot of batteries that rattle. In principle, there is a felt-lined hood variant, which is a notch better, but it's not a real solution to the problem.
The table could be a bit heavier, so it would be even more stable, but what is really scandalous is the ball, and what Garlando has done with it in recent years. They varied the toys without a second thought, and managed to get the whole community angry. In the early twenties there were at least three variants - knock-off orange and white, and a not so knock-off plain white - and then Since 2005, several Bärenherz produced by Garlando - this is not a Garlando product -, of which the really good neon yellow Magic was. I have never seen such a great berry before or since, it was sticky, sufficiently spherical and hardly worn. It's a remarkable example that 18 years after the first balls came out, some people are still using them. Understandably, this was not very profitable for the manufacturer, so newer and newer balls came along, but they couldn't even come close to the Magic.

Then we came to the Speed Play and the High Control balls, which resulted in the fact that even the skilled riders hated to play in Garlando WMs. In a world championship, it was the one who suffered less on the table that was able to get results. Nothing proves this better than the fact that Kevin Hundstorfer, considered by many to be the best Garlando player, also openly stood up to the ball and Garlando in 2022. To this, the company responded by releasing a new ball at the end of 2022, which ITSF also adopted. It is the closest to the former High Control ball, but smaller, it doesn't stick either and will wear out in one setas one of Garlando's top players, Jakob Heinreichsberger, put it. At least it is expensive, 4-5 EUR each, so the situation is not ideal at the moment. Not to the extent that in Austria it is possible that the racing tables will be changed to Leonhart, but that is still to come.
To summarise, if properly maintained, a Garlando WM can be good, but the maintenance requirements are often higher in the long term than, say, German tables. admittedly, they are typically younger than the Garlandos in this country. In our country the price is somewhere between 650 and 800 000 HUF, without a coin testing unit.
Accessories and alternatives to Garlando WM
In general, not too many accessories are bought to go with WMs, the lowered capillary - you can find it in the webshops under the name metal gate nets - I already mentioned, pubs usually have them coin tester unit, which can be operated with 50, 100 and token coins. Official Garlando lamps are not sold by the manufacturer, but can be added to this table KickerLight universal lamp. From an operational point of view, the shorter spring version is better - all WMs are rubber-backed at the factory - because it lasts longer, but in racing the rubber-backed version is used, which can be interchanged at will.
Garlando Pro Champion and Master Champion

Although not fully-fledged, a viable alternative to the Garlando WM are the various tables built from similar components that make up the Champion series. These are Pro Champion and Master Champion and it can host official competitions of lower categories, also listed by the international federation ITSF. The former can host Pro Tour events, the latter Pro Tour and Master Series events. Theoretically the dummies, the bars, the rubber blocks, the play area and the ramps are identical with the World Champion, and also the handles for the Master Champion.
The Garlando tables in our country
Where can I find Garlando tables? Practically anywhere, but you'll mainly find indoor Olympics - colloquially known as Olympia -, WMs are less common, but there are still a fair number of them around the country. Fehérvár is a real Garlando WM stronghold, mostly due to the great local foosball community.
